Supporting student wellbeing while learning from home

Academic support

  • Our staff have been working hard to develop a suite of learning resources and options for students to undertake from home. Teachers have created ‘Learning from Home’ packs which contain a range of activities both online and paper options for you to continue to support your child in their learning journey.
  • Whether your child is at school or at home, the aim is for all students to access the same consistent learning content provided by our school.
  • If your child needs some help with the work provided by their classroom teacher, you can contact your teacher via ClassDojo or call the office during school hours, leave a message and someone will respond.
  • Our Learning and Support team is also available to support students. Please don’t hesitate to leave a message at the office if needed.
  • Our School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs) are also available to assist Integration Funding students.

Emotional support

  • The school counselling staff can be contacted through the school and are available to speak with you and/or your child. If you need to contact a counsellor, please call the school and a counsellor will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
  • Dave Hall, our school Chaplain, has extensive experience in assisting families in trying circumstances. He is available for support and encouragement and is contactable through the school office also.
  • Alternatively, we have attached a contact list of support services that you can access from home on-line or over the phone.

Wellbeing support

We have also endeavoured to provide some Wellbeing support ideas. See attached information.

Alternatively the Department of Education has a wealth of material on their ‘Learning from Home’ website for supporting student wellbeing while learning remotely.

Please do not hesitate to contact our school on the contact details below if you have any further questions regarding the additional academic and/or emotional / wellbeing support available for your child.
