The SRC is a group of students in our school elected by their fellow students to represent everyone. They organise ways for students to participate in school life. Our SRC works democratically to represent the student body in school decision-making. Students work together, with help from a staff member, to improve school life and to contribute students' ideas. there are many ways to be involved and ensure that 'student voice' is heard.
Year 6 students plus two elected representatives from each class make up this group. Students from all years- Kindergarten to Yr 6 are included and they elect two Captains and two Treasurers to lead them throughout the year.
Regular lunchtime meetings are held so that students can promote the views of students or plan improvements to school life. Fundraising projects are also a large part of Student Parliament activities.
Students display citizenship towards others by raising awareness of various charity events eg: Life Education Healthy Harold Day, Jump Rope for Heart, Australia's Biggest Morning Tea and Stewart House ‘Dolphin Day'.
